It's like having a friend who reads what you've written and says things like, "I like this part, but maybe you could make that character more exciting by giving them a special power."
I can also give you some "guidance" which means I can help you learn how to write better by pointing out things like how to use more descriptive words, or how to make your writing sound more exciting. It's like taking a writing class, but instead of being in a classroom, you're talking to a computer program (that's me!).
